UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. Aureus (Subaeratus, 19 mm, 3.20 g, 6 h), 'Tetrarchic Roma Group C'. Imitating Maximianus, 286-305. IIIՒIT IIIIII Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to left, seen from behind. Rev. II IIƧIII Roma, helmeted, seated left on throne, holding Victory presenting wreath in her right hand and scepter in her left. Aurum Barbarorum I, 819 var. (same dies, but in solid gold). Holed and with some breaks in plating, otherwise, extremely fine.
